Filming for OUT HERE began in January 2017, as part of a longer production on homelessness that chronicled the stories of a diverse group of unsheltered people in the city of Sacramento. In 2024 our team decided to consolidate our resources and cut together a documentary short. Post-production is complete, and the film premiered at the Academy Award-qualifying Big Sky Film Festival in Missoula, Montana on February 15, 2025. We will be taking OUT HERE to more film festivals in 2025 and 2026 and providing free community screenings around the country. We hope to use the film as a tool for advocacy to raise awareness around the homelessness issue. 

OUT HERE has been funded thus far by foundation support,  private donations, and producers Michael and Leslie Silver. We need more funding to take the film to festivals and screenings. Any money we receive will allow us to broaden the reach of this film and increase awareness about this important topic. Please join our efforts by making a donation here.
